Beaded Boxes

Really excited about this beaded box project.

Inspiration from "Little Bead Boxes" by Julia S Pretl.

I spend HOURs ....and this is the result.... Very happy with it.

This box measures 1.5cm x 1.25cm x 3.2cm.

The stitches required for the projects are simple peyote and circular peyote

Now to look for something precious to put in it.  😊

Simple Ring

Easy to follow and simple. Need to know how to do herringbone stitch but even if you do not know; plenty of  YouTube videos to watch and learn. It's really easy to follow.

This is the YouTube Tutorial from Sonysree Creation where she showed how to make this simple ring. Link below.

where i buy my beads

I lament the lack of good quality beads in Singapore. 😔

I currently do my bead shopping at Koi Ming and Mix and Match. These shops are both located at China Town Pearl Center. They carry Swarovski crystals (the must have!!) pearls and seed/delica beads.

The seed beads are mainly Toho beads and Matsuno beads... The King of seed beads are the Miyuki beads from Japan. REALLY expensive here in Singapore...

The quality of both the Toho and Matsuno beads are BAD... their sizes are not uniformed and culling the beads takes more time than making my piece.

With the time investment I put into making my jewelry, i would love it if they have a Miyuki distributor here in Singapore... Good business idea. Will look into this and update.

Bead Angel Charms

Had a little experiment with hubby where we did a little video together...

Enjoyed .....

We uploaded this to youtube thinking that nobody will watch it... the last time we checked, it had 800 views... I was so so surprised...

Update: 9150 views..😊🙏

Flea Market

Date : 2009
In a bid to do something different, I've decided to participate in a flea market at my old alma mater. I will be selling mobile phone charms... one of the items will be the bead angel that was shown previously... these are the pictures of the other 3 charms...

As this is my first experience with direct selling... hoping for the best and will learn to deal with the worst.

Update: Well the experience turned out to be a failure. did not sell any pieces and the customers avoided the store. Lessons learned: have the correct lighting - very important. Do not sit and glare at everyone that passes by... they will not stop if they feel intimated.. 😀.

starting again

Thank God for second chances.

Will start again with blogging about the beads in my life.

I recently did a KonMarie on my beaded jewelries and decided to recycle all the beads from the jewelries that do not spark joy. With my bead stash restocked... i look forward to hours of beaded fun.

Most of my projects are from the YouTube videos created by "Bronzepony Beaded Jewelry". Love her creations.

I will also show my pictures on this blogs and hope you will enjoy it along with me.
